ABOUT ME

I'm an accredited advanced level schema therapist with the International Society for Schema Therapy (ISST) and I was fortunate enough to be trained in New York and New Jersey by Professor Jeff Young, founder of schema therapy and Wendy Behary, expert in working with narcissistic personalities.

My background is working with people with complex needs both in the community and in secure settings.  I used to facilitate cognitive behavioural therapy programmes for a variety of different problems, but found that oftentimes CBT can be limited.  Through my own research I discovered schema therapy which provides a much more robust and integrative way of helping people through difficulties.  Whilst useful for all types of problems it's especially useful for those that have tried other forms of therapy, such as CBT but found that they were not able to move on.  Or for those that feel like they are "lost causes".  In schema therapy there are no lost causes.

I am especially experienced in working with children and  juveniles which many therapists find difficult and in fact avoid.  I would love to be able to have the opportunity to work with your child and help them develop their potential.

I live in Brighton on the south coast of England and I find it's a wonderful place which accepts people for who they are, that doesn't seek to judge or exclude those that come from diverse backgrounds; it's very much in line with my own values and that's one of the reasons I love it so much.

Away from therapy I enjoy filmmaking, photography, motorcycling and coffee.  We won't lack things to discuss when you have your sessions!
